Vintha Katha

An epic musical drama depicting the preface to Seetha and Rama's wedding.

Sukumar, a selfish wealthy man, returns to his village in order to ascertain his rights over the family property. However, he faces problems due to a few family members and ends up falling in love.

Nine idealistic youngsters plan to create "Maro Prapancham", an egalitarian utopian. But when they start kidnapping children to bring them into their world, the government appoints Special CBI Officer Ravindra Nath (Akkineni Nageshwar Rao) to investigate the kidnappings.

Ramudu (Taraka Rathna) is a youngster and also a 'chekka bhajana' performer in Bhadrachalam. When his grandmother forces him to get married, he falls in love with a 'chekka bhajana' learner Seeta (Radhika) and marries her. Immediately after the marriage, Seeta gives a slip to Ramudu and returns to her homeland Germany.The real reason for Seeta's act is due to an advice from her astrologer. He said that her first marriage would not work out. Her marriage is fixed with her bava Ravi and she loves him too. But she does not want any complications in her marital life. Hence she marries Ramudu at Bhadrachalam and ditches him to go back to Germany and marry Ravi so that her second marriage would be fruitful. The rest of the story is all about how Ramudu with his chekkalu and Lord Rama's vermilion (kunkuma) fly to Germany to fight his aunt Jagadamba (Vani Sri) and bring back her daughter and his wife Seeta.

Radha's father brings a marriage proposal for her, which she refuses and runs away from home. Later, she comes across nine people, each representing a specific human behaviour.

Venu is a very poor student and seeks to come out of the hostel by being unable to bear its expenses. Thus, he shifts to a lawyer Anand Rao's summer-house, who gives it to him free of cost. While in Gandharva, Aditya has plans of his own, for he loves a courtesan, Jaswanti, and would not dream of marrying anyone else, much to the disapproval of his brother, Ugrarao. Not to be outdone, Alaknanda loves a young warrior by the name of Vikram Singh. Acharya Abangdev of Avanti has plans of his own, which do not include Alaknanda, as he would like to take the region over and rule over it through Ugrarao. Then the unexpected happens, Aditya is reportedly killed by bandits, and Abangdev announces that Ugrarao be the next king, but at the very moment, Aditya shows up, is crowned the king, and makes sweeping changes to Avanti for the betterment of the people.
