During World War II, earnest young Russian soldier Alyosha Skvortsov is rewarded with a short leave of absence for performing a heroic deed on the battlefield. Feeling homesick, he decides to visit his mother. Due to his kindhearted nature, however, Alyosha is repeatedly sidetracked by his efforts to help those he encounters, including a lovely girl named Shura. In his tour of a country devastated by war, he struggles to keep hope alive.

Southern seaside town. High school students Olya and Mitya met at sports classes, made friends. Suddenly the girl's mother dies and Olga, left in the care of a semi-literate aunt, decides to leave school and go to work. Mitya's family, and first of all, of course, he himself, already in love with Olya, convinces her to move to live in their house. Participation and caring attention literally returns the girl's interest in life and further studies. However, rumors spread around the school about the cohabitation of two students, and hints were made about the intimacy of their relationship. As a result, young people quarrel. But real friends and family of Mitya are trying to help the lovers sort out their feelings.

Lida Baburova, a tour guide of an architectural museum, unexpectedly receives a warrant for a two-room apartment in the new district of Zarechye, among the new settlers called "our Cheryomushki". Lida and her father go to inspect the apartment, but it turns out that it doesn't exist. The manager of the house, Barabashkin, conducted fictitious documentation, and the Baburovs' apartment merged with the neighboring one, owned by the head of the construction trust Drebednyov.

An armed attack on cash messengers is undertaken near a trade center in a small provincial town, an agent of Ministry of Internal Affairs dies in crossfire. A crime investigator major Rovnin (V. Kuznetsov), who appeared to be a close friend of the deceased, comes from Moscow to assist in the investigation. He is astonished at how savagely his friend was shot, as if someone was revenging. Local investigating bodies are convinced that they can manage this and arent too satisfied with the arrival of Moscow expert. They try to handle this as soon as possible, even at the cost of mistake. But the majors task is to find the killer, in spite of the fact that he is left nothing but to hold the investigation by himself.

The beginning of the 1950s. Nikolai Babushkin, a young specialist in one of the taiga construction sites, who had just been elected a deputy of the district council, was sent behind a brick to the city of Dzhegor. He is already familiar with the bold project of the engineer Cheremnykh, according to which one of the shops of the brick factory can be transferred to the production of expanded clay blocks in a short time. To provide the construction site with the necessary material, Nikolai gathers a team and helps the inventor to implement the project. The Hound of the Baskervilles is a 1981 Soviet film adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's novel The Hound of the Baskervilles. It was the third installment in the TV series about adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. A potent streak of humour ran through the film as concerns references to traditional British customs and stereotypes, ensuring the film's popularity with several generations of Russophone viewers. Other features of this best entry in the series include excellent exterior shots which closely match the novel's setting in the Dartmoor marshland, as well as an all-star cast: in addition to the famous Livanov -Solomin duo as Holmes and Watson, the film stars the internationally acclaimed actor/director Nikita Mikhalkov as Sir Henry Baskerville and the Russian movie legend Oleg Yankovsky as the villain Stapleton.

Dr. Watson, who served in the English armed forces and was in the Afghan war, retires and returns to his homeland, in England. Since the financial situation of the doctor is very precarious, his long-time friend Mr. Stamford offers him to rent a room in the house at 221-B Baker Street, which is rented by an elderly lady - Mrs. Hudson. He conducts complex chemical experiments with blood, plays the violin, has the deepest knowledge about cigar ash, London dirt and criminal law, but at the same time demonstrates complete ignorance of well-known truths (for example, the fact that the Earth revolves around the Sun), does not read fiction, as well as books on history and philosophy. At the same time, very strange visitors constantly come to Holmes, and on the table he has portraits of personalities of a disgusting appearance.

A girl named Mary Morsten comes to Sherlock Holmes, who asks him and the doctor to help solve the annual receipt of one pearl by her parcel and in the search for her father, who disappeared many years ago. Holmes and Watson do not refuse her help and find out that Miss Mary is the heiress of a huge fortune — the treasures of Agra, which are also claimed by the sons of Major Sholto and Jonathan Small — an escaped convict with a wooden prosthesis instead of a leg, whom the elder Morsten and Sholto deceived (while Sholto also deceived Morsten).
