The Double Crossers

Jean Claude Van Damme plays a dual role as Alex and Chad, twins separated at the death of their parents. Chad is raised by a family retainer in Paris, Alex becomes a petty crook in Hong Kong. Seeing a picture of Alex, Chad rejoins him and convinces him that his rival in Hong Kong is also the man who killed their parents. Alex is suspicious of Chad, especially when it comes to his girlfriend.

Dragon is now transferred to be the police head of Sai Wan district, and has to contend with a gangster kingpin, anti-Manchu revolutionaries, some runaway pirates, Manchu Loyalists and a corrupt police superintendent.

Gonzo, action packed rape-revenge themed Taiwanese "Black Movie" featuring Juliet Chan and "Tattooer Ma" Sha. The original "Underground Wife" cut runs 85 minutes, the later IFD "Kill Butterfly Kill" English language cut is 89. After a brief encounter with the gang at a local restaurant, Golden Sparrow is joined by an inebriated wanderer Drunken Cat who aids her in her mission.

A mysterious and highly successful hitwoman in Hong Kong is paid to assassinate top-level crime bosses. After beginning a relationship with a noodle vendor, she decides to travel to South Korea to complete one last job. Unfortunately, the dead man's bodyguard is out for revenge.

The plot involves patriots during the Sung Dynasty and their attempts to rescue a kidnapped prince from Ching troops who have invaded the north of China. The patriots are led by Ti Lung who recruits a mysterious but seemingly superhuman fighter played by David Chiang to find a way to cross a perilous bridge to enter an impregnable fortress to locate and rescue the imprisoned prince.

Director Ho Meng-hua is one of Shaw Studio's most versatile directors. He's helmed romances, mysteries, award-winning dramas, contemporary action films, historical costume dramas, fantasies, and, finally, popular swordplay movies. The title character in this one is a chivalrous thief who raises the jealous ire of the rival Red Shirt Gang. There's plenty of action in this adventure, which sweeps from the plains to the mountains ... to the sound of slashing swords.

A young swordswoman named Fang Ying-qi (Cheng Pei-Pei) sets out to join a gathering of the martial world’s leading warriors under the banner of Lord Xia (Fang Mien) and the Flying Dragon Clan. Their mission is to organize the defense of their country against invading Jin forces. Wang arrests the organizer but has set her free from headquarter. Wang and Lei get together in getting the commander dismissed.

A young Kung Fu student seeks a reclusive teacher so that she may learn to defeat the evil Black Demon. She doesn't realize that the servant woman she befriends is actually the kung fu master she seeks. After Black Demons henchmen attack, the master reveals herself and eventually takes on the student to train her so that they may both defeat the villain. A love triangle complicates things when another student asks for training as well.

A detective and wanderer called Man Tshu comes to town and challenges the crime family that owns it, burning their opium and taking away one of their prostitute wives as his love interest.

Armed with omnipotent powers, spirit, and help from her "celestial sisters", Seventh Sister works to defend Zili, Uncle Bull, and the orphans from Xu Caifa.

Diary of a Lady-Killer is a murder mystery mixed with erotica. Each time a local playboy has an affair, the lady shows up dead, making him the prime suspect.

A Time For Love features Shaw Brothers' darling Lily Ho in a Romeo and Juliet stylized love story that breaks the tradition of Hong Kong's "class distinction" love stories. It is a film ending with a Cinderella-esque love saving happiness happy ever other ending.

To prevent a drug ring from killing her brother, Ping Ping surrenders to police, claiming she is guilty of trafficking drugs. She is subsequently jailed. Years later she joins fellow inmates to escape and the girls are bent on smashing the drug ring and to wipe out its members.

Ling Bo is Lin, a young man engaged to the daughter of a rich man, who now despises Lin because of his family's declining status. Lin visits his beloved fiancee before he heads towards the imperial city to participate in the civil service examination, only to find her maid lying dead in blood. Lin is then accused of murder. How can Judge Bao prove his innocence?

Hong Kong movie

A whacky 1974 comedy starring David Chiang who was also the director, that's one to see. Well it certainly is whacky, and the film is actually a number of short pieces, varying in length from a couple of minutes to the last story that is 30 minutes or so.

In 1910, Korea suffers the humiliation of being annexed by Japan. Young patriots form an independence group called Bukrogun Jeongseo. General Kim Jwa-jin as well as freedom fighters such as Lee Bum-suk, Na Jung-jo are burning with nationalistic spirit. Japan takes over Manchuria. In order to destroy the freedom fighters, Japan employs the Manchurian bandit, Jang Jak-rim, and starts plotting their destruction. Risking their lives, the freedom fighters engage in a bloody battle at Chungsan-ri under the extraordinary leadership and burning patriotism of General Kim Jwa-jin. Despite being greatly outnumbered, the freedom fighters are triumphant.

As Sung Min gets involved with a young, attractive mistress, he becomes estranged from his wife, and begins to dream of murdering her. Finally, he carries out his plan of murdering his wife. After doing that he is tormented with the phantom of his wife without knowing that she is alive. Meanwhile, Sung Min's wife, who barely saved her life, makes a plan for revenging herself on her husband.

After the Korean War, Young-gu and his family establish a successful restaurant in Seoul. Their son grows up to graduate from university and eventually becomes a prosecutor, fulfilling his parents’ hopes for upward mobility. Proud but socially awkward, Young-gu becomes involved in a series of comedic situations that test those around him. Over time, his sincerity wins people over, and the family looks ahead to a stable and happy future.

Kim Su-im, the mistress of an American colonel, is arrested and charged with being a North Korean spy. While not denying the charge, Miss Kim takes the trial as an opportunity to relate her life as an explanation of why she committed treason as a spy.

Min-ae, who sets up a home in a military camp town with Seong-ho, a young man from the neighborhood, thanks to his stepmother's help, has her dream of newlyweds shattered by Seong-ho's abandonment of work and a debauched lifestyle. After seeing her meeting with Jakbu, Min-ae goes to Seoul with her daughter Gyeong-ae, and although they have a hard time, she settles down. Then Seong-ho appeared and apologized for her mistakes and asked for funds for her business. She took out a loan to provide the money, but it was a lie. Now Min-ae becomes a hostess at a salon named Miss Kim. There she meets an architect named Hyun-seok. Min-ae, who found out that Seong-ho took Gyeong-ae away from her but is in her orphanage, brings her back to live with Hyun-seok, but Seong-ho appears and tries to take Gyeong-ae away, but Seong-ho, seeing her happy family, goes back alone.
