Vera Kasatkina, in her youth, experienced an emotional trauma: her husband left her and their child. She is 27 years old and has long given up on the idea of personal happiness. When she meets Volodya Chizhov, who is younger than her, she sincerely offers to help him prepare for his university entrance exams. Deep feelings begin to develop between them. Vera's mother is adamantly against this relationship, and Vera's colleagues have already figured it out and are making fun of her. Volodya, an open and persistent young man, tactfully takes the initiative — he helps Vera overcome her fears and find happiness.

A fashionable Moscow Photographer receives an order unprecedented in mystery and cost: five oriental-type models in stylized costumes should pose for him against the background of the ruins of the westernmost city in Russia - St. Petersburg, and the sequence of shooting locations is strictly defined. Performing an exotic task, the Photographer realizes that the Customer is not really interested in the pictures. He needs to get hold of a photographic relic from the beginning of the XX century, which is kept by the Photographer.

The film is based on real events. The action takes place during one of the meetings of the Commission for Pardons. A petition from a young man, who killed two people, is being reviewed, one of whom was the son of an influential person. At the same time, in the correctional facility where he is serving his sentence, a hostage situation unfolds (another real case, supported by documentary footage included in the film). In such an environment—one of psychological pressure—the members of the Commission must make the right decision...

Mixture of documentary and fiction about the dictatorial 1930s, loosely based on the utopian fantasies of Fritz Lang and about the forbidden passionate love affair between a photographer and his model.

The action in this lavishly produced film takes place at an oddly ark-shaped mansion during World War I, and in spirit (although not in story) it reflects the play which inspired it, the ferociously antiwar Heartbreak House by George Bernard Shaw. A large group of family and friends have gathered at this country house to dance, drink, and converse. Their conversation, in particular, is adorned with erudite literary references and quotations. Despite their apparent refinement, their preoccupations are simple: sex and violence. Disquieting images break the tranquility of the vacationers' inappropriate idyll: some of these include documentary footage of starving African children, images (both real and re-enacted) of George Bernard Shaw going about his daily life, and a corpse coming to life on an autopsy table, only to cheapen that miracle by scolding a group of women. The music used in the film ironically points to its disturbing message and is uniformly anachronistic.

She plans to make him fall in love with her so her youth and beauty can be renewed, but in exchange will destroy his kingdom.

Irina Evteeva’s debut quickly became a kind of manifesto for the one-room experimental studio: it defines classification by interweaving animation, appropriated footage, feature and documentary to form a unique whole, a film that rushes backwards into the future, thereby re-inventing Futurism. Mayakovskiy is the star; his occasional presence holds together a film driven by the sound, the beat, of his poetry. Evteeva develops a dramatic structure of flaring, fading, being from light: violin strings become rays, quivering dull yellow spots, pictures. The plot assails the material from which it derives energy from material. History, growling and roaring, finds its form.

Young clerk Jonathan travels to Transylvania in order to meet with a mysterious count.

The movie is set during the last days of a foreign intervention against Soviet Russia. Police are searching everywhere for a Bolshevik named Brodsky but cannot find him. Meanwhile, a man named Michel Voronov serves as a teacher to a rich woman's son, Zhen'ka.
