The characters, such as "Chen Ji," "Mrs. Shun," "Uncle Mao," "Jue Wu Yin," "Miss Su," "A Wei," and "Ah Kang," mostly hail from the grassroots, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. For example, "Mrs. Shun," portrayed by Lydia Shum, later became a term to describe uneducated women who follow trends blindly. My Date with a Vampire is a 1998 Hong Kong television series produced by ATV. The story is based on the future events of the plot of Vampire Expert, a similar two-season television drama aired on ATV in 1995 and 1996. It blends aspects of the jiangshi with those of western vampires, while injecting elements of Chinese mythology and modern horror legends. The series is a tribute to Lam Ching-ying, the lead actor of Vampire Expert and a prominent cast member in the Mr. Vampire franchise, who died of liver cancer in 1997. It was followed by My Date with a Vampire II (2000) and My Date with a Vampire III (2004).

ICAC Investigators is a long running family of Hong Kong television miniseries about the work of Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). The series are public awareness films produced by Radio Television Hong Kong, an independent department of the government, with the full co-operation of the ICAC itself. Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils is a 1982 Hong Kong television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. The 50 episodes long series is divided into two parts, with their Chinese titles as 天龍八部之六脈神劍 and 天龍八部之虛竹傳奇 respectively.

Beauty Knows No Pain is a 2010 Hong Kong television drama. Produced by Lam Chi-wah and co-edited by Suen Ho-ho and Chan Kam-ling, the drama is a TVB production. The show premiered on July 26, 2010, and is slated to air for 20 episodes five nights a week. The drama follows the lives of three women — Jackie, Mrs. Cash, and BiBi, portrayed by Maggie Cheung Ho-yee, Michelle Yim, and Joyce Tang respectively — who work in the same cosmetics production company, Paris Donna San-Malo Donna.

But she eventually grows to see the good in Kwong-Nam and his methods and they end up falling love.

Vigilante Force is a 2003 Hong Kong modern serial drama produced by TVB starring Bowie Lam, Joe Ma, Kenix Kwok, Benny Chan, Tavia Yeung, Mak Cheung-ching and Eileen Yeow.

Chief inspector of Hong Kong’s Criminal Intelligence Bureau, Cheuk Hoi, is suspicious of his close colleague’s mysterious death. Adding to the enigma, he discovers that the five undercover agents who were in constant contact with his dead friend have all vanished.

War of the Genders is a Hong Kong sitcom which aired on TVB Jade from 21 February to 7 July 2000. The series was produced by TVB with Tsui Chong-hong serving as the executive producer. An average of 3.1 million viewers watched the episode finale live, creating the highest rating average below the 2003 Charity Football Competition Real Madrid vs Hong Kong and tied with the 2005 Korean TV drama Dae Jang Geum and the 2008 TVB TV drama Moonlight Resonance.

Beautiful Cooking is a Hong Kong variety show broadcast on TVB. The show began broadcasting on May 28, 2006 hosted by Ronald Cheng, Alex Fong and Edmond Leung. The second season began broadcast from April 5, 2009.
