This is a family drama. A poor school master had three sons and one daughter. He was very tense for his daughter's marriage. He meets his former student Bablu, who meets Minu and falls in love with her. He wants to marry Minu. But Minu loved another boy, Alok. Bablu meets Alok and helps him by giving him a job in his office. But Alok was an uncivilised person and falls in love with Rupali, a girl in Bablu's office. Rupali was not a very nice person. Bablu warned Alok about her but Alok left Minu and started staying with Rupali. Minu was dejected and wanted revenge. She wants to transform herself and Bablu helps her to become Minoti,a modern cultured lady. Alok now wants to get Minoti but she slaps him. Minoti realizes that Bablu is the right man for her and they get married.

Jadi Jantem (English: If I Knew) is a 1974 Indian Bengali-language drama thriller film directed by Tarun Majumdar as Yatrik. This movie was released under the banner of Chitrajug. Uttam Kumar played the role of main protagonist of the movie, Mr. P. K. Basu, Bar-at-law. This movie was based on the thriller novel Nagchampa of Narayan Sanyal.

Desperate for a cook, the disgruntled Sharmas are relieved when a multi-talented man, Raghu, takes up the job. However, when all seems well, the family jewels disappear and so does Raghu.

Prafulla comes to a fortune by chance and is guided by Bhabani Pathak, a nationalistic religious leader to use this fortune in the cause of justice. She is trained rigorously and becomes a bandit queen wrapped in mystery and even fights back Colonial British forces to safeguard villagers.She becomes the legendary Debi Chowdhurani. Gradually incidents take such a turn that her erstwhile tormentors, i.e. her in laws come under her power and the movie ends with reconciliation.

Rahmat, a middle-aged fruit seller from Afghanistan, comes to Calcutta to hawk his merchandise and befriends a small Bengali girl called Mini who reminds him of his own daughter back in Afghanistan. One day Rehmat receives news of his daughter’s illness and decides to return to Afghanistan. But before he goes a violent fight with a customer leads to Rehmat killing him. He gets out of prison ten years later. Based on a Rabindranath Tagore story.

Master Ashish Ghosh and Amar Dutta played the role of Child Subhash and Subhash Chandra respectively.

Hajari Thakur, a middle-aged Bengali Brahmin cook, faces humiliation and exploitation at his job while harboring dreams of owning his hotel. After overcoming numerous challenges including wrongful imprisonment and financial hardship, he successfully establishes a thriving hotel business, eclipsing his former employer and even securing a contract to manage large railway hotels. In a surprising turn of events, Hajari offers his former tormentors, Bechu Chakraborty and Padma, positions in his growing enterprise, showcasing his resilience and magnanimity.

In pre-Partition Bengal, Kuber, a poor fisherman struggles to survive along the wild Padma River. While navigating an affair with his spirited sister-in-law, Kuber becomes entangled with Hossain, a charismatic trader recruiting desperate villagers to settle on the isolated island of Moynadeep.

The widower land-lord fixes his wayward step-brother's alliance with priest's daughter. Groom disappears on wedding day, and he is forced to marry her. The brother comes back and when the elder brother dies, tries to dispossess the widow.

Throughout her life, Supriya loved a man and was married to another man however she did not either escape from her responsibilities as a doting wife. However, her inner feelings keep tormenting her all her life and her married life becomes an utter failure. She not only ruins her life but everybody else's around her. In the end, her life becomes nothing more than fragmented pieces of broken images.

Sata Bose, the receptionist of hotel Shahjahan and other crew members work hard to make the hotel first choice of the upper class for socializing in the city, just got the taste of freedom from British rule. The movie revolves around different characters - hotel employees to page 3 personalities dealing different human emotions. Although Sata Bose (played by Uttam Kumar) is the central character of the film, he is not the protagonist in many ways, rather the movie can be described as "hyperlink movie" made long ago than the term is coined.

Anustup Chhanda is a Bengali movie released on 1 July 1964. The movie is directed by Pijush Bose and features Basanta Choudhury in the lead role.
