The Body Corporate made by Anti-Hero skateboards. That wasn’t the original title we had in mind. We were pushing for “Reality Breakdown”. But things changed along the way. The video itself came out a lot different than the video we thought we were making, and that’s not a bad thing. This is the video we came back from New Zealand with. It morphed from wanting to tell a story about skating being an act of defiance, a path away from the status quo & spoon fed commercialism & all that lazy stuff, to being the story of what drew these guys to skateboarding & why it sticks so strongly with some of us. In the end it still speaks to those other ideas, though not said out-loud. These guys poured their hearts into this thing & we couldn’t be more stoked on how it came out. We hope you dig it.

It was starting to feel like this day would never come but here we are, and we’re beyond stoked to finally bring you Much Quiet, the Sirus F Gahan video, which succeeded in bringing together Vans’ eclectic cast of 20+ London and Paris based riders. Sirus was of course assisted in his filming duties by 5T‘s Elliot Bonnabel, Austin Bristow and countless others, Sam Ashley, Alex Pires and Rafal Wojnowski joined some of the missions to shoot stills for the mag, and you can read all about this collaborative project in our interview with Helena Long. A documentary film that explores the early Boston Hardcore music scene from the years 1981 through 1984. This film delves into the social and communal aspects of that particular era. The community, culture, straight edge and DIY (do it yourself) ethic of the time are all explored in the film.
