Kassim (P. Ramlee) returns to Singapore after finishing his studies in London and is thrust into a betrothal with the daughter of his father’s benefactor, Salmah. However, Kassim has already met and fallen in love with someone who shares his interest in Persian poetry. She is Rahimah, a flower salesgirl in Singapore. They go on dates to the nursery, and spend time together (dancing) in a paradise-like garden (Alkaff Gardens). Even after Kassim returns to Kuala Lumpur to work in his benefactor’s rubber plantation, he never forsakes Rahimah and has a rendezvous with her in Singapore when the opportunity arises. Together again, they watch movies at the Rex Theatre, and vow to get married. Unfortunately, Kassim’s father insists on him marrying his benefactor’s daughter, Salmah, who is a rich and cultured girl. Kassim decides to fulfil his father’s death wish and marries Salmah. Eventually, fate brings Kassim to reunite with Rahiman again in their twilight years.

A son leaves his widowed poor mother to make a fortune and promises to return for her. He rises up the ranks and even marries royalty but his promise is soon forgotten. When he returns to his homeland, he refuses to acknowledge her and his callous ways leads to tragedy.

Haji Salleh who was seperated by his family in Singapore fell sick when he was in Mecca. He had a wife, Ainon, a daughter Petum and a son Bahar who is an Inspector Police. Before he passed away he made a will who was entrusted to Sidek to be given to his family. As he arrived back in Singapore the beg which had the letter and money in it was stolen by Kamal, who stole the money and through it away. Kamal not later after that was arrested by the police. By coincidence, Kamal's daughter was Inspector Bahar's boyfriend. Sidek came to the Police Station as he heard about the arrest that has been made to the thief who stole the money. But he was taken back when he saw the face of the criminal who resembled so much of his friend who passed away, Haji Salleh.

Aini (Aini Hayati) is left to fend for herself after her father passed away from sickness. She finds employment as a maid for a nasty woman, who seems to be in a persistently vengeful mood and showers her with verbal and physical abuse. Rather coincidentally, Aini’s boyfriend Ramlan (Ali Rahman) happens to be the brother-in-law of the abusive employer. Aini confides her sorrows to Ramlan, who clearly identifies with her grim view of life, being unemployed and in a pretty forlorn state himself. Nonetheless, Ramlan is from a middle-class background and his proposal to marry Aini, who is considered socially inferior, is met with outright disapproval.

Film tells about one day the King went to all the people of the jungle clearing . In the middle of the jungle there was a very thick clump sewers . The army was clearing sewer , but when it cleared sewer regenerate. People tried to slash it again sewer but still the situation is still the same . When the king saw this, he himself tried to cut down the sewer , the sewer successfully cleared out all arrive until the middle of the sewers .

Husein is brought to trial after trying to commit suicide. He refuses to give an explanation until he is forced to. Then he begins his story. Husein enters university with help from his unmarried brother, Hasan, who dedicates his life for Husein and his sister Munah who has a heart ailment. But when Hasan meets Rahimah, Husein’s friend, Wahab, gets jealous as he considers her as his girlfriend. Wahab is very bitter about this and swears revenge. At Munah’s urging, Hasan marries Rahimah. Their happiness is short-lived since Wahab starts to woo Rahimah. After Husein punches Wahab, the latter starts spreading slander. He tells Hasan that Husein is sleeping with Rahimah. Jealousy and rage start to build up and Husein and the pregnant Rahimah are thrown out of the house.

Hassan (P. Ramlee) is 10 when his father died. His mother had died when he was younger. His late father's boss feels sorry for Hassan and adopts him. However, Hassan's foster father's own child, Aziz (Jins Shamsudin) is jealous of Hassan and hates him. When both of them have fully grown up, Aziz and Buang (Salleh Kamil) always bully Hassan. At the same time, Salmah (Saadiah) has developed a crush towards Hassan, fuelling Aziz's fury. When the Second World War is approaching, the Royal Malay Regiment begins recruiting young soldiers.

Workers at an Eveready battery factory are disgruntled because their wages are low compared to a neighbouring factory. The factory manager exploits the workers’ rising discontent by colluding with a traitor within the workers’ ranks to instigate a strike in the factory, part of a devious ploy to take over the factory from the benevolent but incapacitated factory owner/boss. The colluders create dismal working conditions and make use of every opportunity and incident to raise the call for a strike, to sour industrial relations in a bid to close the factory down so that they can coerce the boss to hand over ownership.

Kassim is living with his brother and sister-in-law when he finds out he is about to inherit all his family's wealth. Kassim, a young man who prefers to sing and play, is thrown out of his home by his brother and deprived of his wealth. He starts to lead a wandering life with two friends. Hasnah the cashier at the restaurant pity's Amir being ridiculed by Aminah when he confesses his love for her. On the other hand Hasnah as well has feelings for him. One day an opera owner heard of Amir's songs and offered him to work at his place. Amir requested that he would go if only Aminah was to follow along. Zakaria manage to make a deal and they both worked togetthon many songs and Amir became popular since then. Aminah on the other hand began to like him. They ended up getting married and had a son, Nana. Amir loved his son so much that he gave all his attention to his son not knowing of his wife's affair with a man named Hassan who happens to be Amir's close friend. Hassan in the end managed to talk Aminah out in leaving Amir and bringing her child along.

He reaches the exotic Arabian coast, and travels all the way to Egypt, encountering belly dancers, harem women, etc. He meets Princess Nilam and falls in love. The movie adaptation based on the legend of Raden May Ayu. It follows the original tale rather closely, though a few variations of the legend do exist. The essence of each of the variations is more or less the same: Radin Mas Ayu is the baby daughter of Pangeran (brother of the Sultan of Java) and a court dancer; she is forced to go on exile to Temasek with his father after the Sultan disagrees with her parents' marriage and burns their house down, killing her mother. Radin Mas Ayu grows up to be a pious and filial daughter, but is despised out of jealousy by her stepmother. She eventually sacrifices herself as she shields her father from a murderous attack.

'Lampung Karam' tells a story of a religious community living in Lampung (southern Sumatra, Indonesia) during the 1883 eruption of the Krakatau volcano.

Khatijah is a greedy and insecure stepmother who hates her stepdaughter, Fatimah. While her husband is away, she hires an assassin to murder Fatimah. But the assassin sympathizes with Fatimah and, instead of killing her, cuts off one of her hands which he shows to Khatijah as a proof of her death.

Ibrahim, a rich man, has a spoilt son, Hassan, who is a thief and a liar. When the family adopts nasir, a poor orphan, Hassan does not welcome him. But Sa'adiyah, the daughter of the family, becomes Nasir's devoted friend and ally. After marrying a wife consumed by greed, Hassan turns to thieving to support their lifestyle. He is caught and imprisoned; upon his release, he steals from his adopted brother Nasir. However, Nasir saves him from the arm of the law by informing the police that the stolen items are actually gifts he planned to give Hassan. Hassan is thus released and comes to realise Nasir’s noble heart and kind intentions.

'Mata Hari', the daughter of a kampong headman is captured by the Japanese. She witnesses the atrocities committed by the invaders, who tortured her father to death and round up innocent women to become prostitutes and mistresses for their commanders. Not wanting to cower to the enemy, Mata Hari decides to form and lead a guerilla force to fight the Japanese.

What will happen to Karim and whether the kidnapping was linked with Samad?

Produced by Cathay-Keris, this omnibus of three stories (with different directors) was adapted from mystery tales featuring Detective Inspector Latiff (S. Roomai Noor), a character created Pelham Groom, a former British officer and genre writer who settled in Singapore. Latiff’s ‘Watson’ is a female Chinese forensic doctor (Mary Lim), and the first story 'Mud on Her Shoes' hinges on the romance between an English expat and a Malay woman. The second story is the titular 'Hantu Rimau'. The third tale ’Double Knock Out’, heralded as the first depiction of a local boxing match, was shot in Happy World (later renamed Gay World), one of the night-life amusement parks known as the ‘Worlds’.
