1960s Turkey countryside. A newly assigned teacher finds out that the solitary village is missing a school. He gets fond of the village people and especially a disabled man. The teacher helps the village to build a new school and educate the children and the disabled man.

The staircase car, which we are accustomed to seeing only at airports and used for boarding and disembarking from planes, initially becomes a subject of ridicule when it arrives in the neighborhood. However, it transforms our hero's life as if by magic. The unfolding events turn a downtrodden man into a folk hero overnight.
