It's summertime. The students Allan and Erik returns to their home town. 19-year old Allan is in love with 17-year old Anna-Lena. She rejects his clumsy attempts of telling her, but that's because she is uncertain of her own feelings. The Norwegian singer Lydia Hennert has an accident with her car and she is slightly injured. Allan's father is a doctor and Lydia spends a few days with them. Allan falls in love with her instead, she is a "real" woman and not a girl. But this makes Anna-Lena jealous.

On the little ferry from the islands in the sea to Stockholm city the Troubadour is carried away by his imagination into the fictitious world of his main character Fritiof Andersson. Colorful scenes from various songs are enacted before his dreaming eyes. In Stockholm he spends the night at the inn Gyldene Freden. ...

It's the last night of 1899. In Helsingfors they celebrate the new millennium. The students at the university are dancing and among them is Helge Ulfstjerna.

A serial-killer attacks and murders young girls in the parks of Stockholm. The police have trouble finding any evidence to find the killer. When Anna runs into the TV host for the show, Claes Wager, sparks quickly evolve into a flirt between the two of them. During preparation at the castle Anna is the one to find Linda Hamrin unconscious from an overdose of medicine. Both Erica and Patrik are dragged into the case when only a day later a man, Hasse Wennerman, is killed and the rumors of an affair that led to Linda's overdose spiral up into a big conflict. The old painting, Hasse Wennerman brought to the antique show, is also missing and when it is found among Annas belongings, Erica gets a hard time trying to prove her sisters innocence

After being admitted to a residential home starts the retired bricklayer Johan to dream back to his childhood - the safe upbringing with his parents, the first love, and how he with a broken heart ran away from home, and was forced to fend for himself. How he got married, had a son, barely managed to scrape together enough money for food and shelter, the son ran away from home and his wife died.

Operetta singer Adolf Berg will be called up for military duty just as he gets assigned a major role in an operetta. On the train he meets Ulla Wern and complications occur.

"Bleeding Hearts" - Comedy with charming hussar lieutenants, indulgent landlord daughters, wild rides and romantic mansion balls.

The banker Marcus falls in love with the young ballet-dancer Maj who works at the opera. To meet her he takes a job there but Maj is in love with Osvald Berg, the big star of the opera. To wake Osvald's interest for her she asks Marcus if he could play deeply in love with her. Plot summary by nL.

Thomas Palm (Åke Söderblom) has recently been promoted at work at The Royal Canal Office. He celebrates with his friends on a night out and on the way home he saves a woman from drowning. The woman's name is Dolly (Marguerite Viby), an out of work actress, who won't leave his side and this gets him into trouble when he is about to get married in a couple of days.
