After having spent 22 months in prison, Viktor Pálos returns to his homeland, where he is going to be involved in the robbery committed by his relatives.

The poetic love story depicting everyday life from a micro-psychological aspect takes place in the 1910s. Sándor, editor of the local paper, serves as a foot soldier on Sundays, but spends weekdays playing billiard and courting women. One Sunday afternoon - in soldier's uniform - he meets Vilma, the beautiful maid, whose honesty and chastity turns the adventure to love.

The story, which takes place in the reform era, centres around Mrs. Déry, a legendary actress, who, along with her fellow actors and actresses, travels around the country to become the herald of the Hungarian language, performing in villages and towns up and down the land as strolling players, a woman who is not put off by the prospect of starvation and the dearth of a home to return to and security to live in.

It tells the story of Marie, an austerely beautiful young peasant girl played by the French star, Annabella. She is seduced beneath a flowering tree by the admirer of one of the daughters of the prosperous family for whom she works, becomes pregnant and is cast out.

As a result of a still further incident, Rédey, - endeavouring to return the bracelet to Kitty - embarks upon getting the jacket back while wearing the Hungarian gala-suit owned by his landlady's elder brother. The station to which he finds his way while looking for the jacket is visited by the King of Italy, and he takes Lajos, dressed as he is in a Hungarian gala-suit, to be a Hungarian aristocrat, and Lajos must but receive His Majesty in Italian.

Tóth Manci, a milliner turned dancer, meets Pali, a handsome banker, and falls madly in love. But she waits in vain for a word of encouragement from him, because he loves Lili, the belladonna. So Manci, in her grief, goes to Russia. By the time Pali realizes that he loves Manci too and wants to follow her, war breaks out, and he can only follow her as a soldier.

Kocsis Ferenc excellent staff appointed the new director of public stores. Ilonka a talented fashion designer, Boriska a dear, Daniel, a overzealous, Klimke, a conservative sale and Glauziusz uncle, conscientious, honest book promotes the work. His jealousy is not entirely ungrounded, and Mancika runs away with a motorcyclist. The Korbusz family live a little crowded, because in addition to Öcsi, even an energetic grandmother lives with them. But the peacefully troublesome time spent together does not disturb the family's happiness.

Éva and Árpi are married, but have no home on their own. On Thursdays, they meet in Árpi's long vehicle. Renting a room from a head tenant would be too expensive. The ad of an old lady found in a newspaper, in which she offers a room free of charge to the person who finds her lost parrot, comes in handy.

The documentary is a fitting tribute to the legendary Hungarian dubbing actors and actresses and the dubbing profession. The film also talks about the origins, golden age, present and possible future of Hungarian dubbing.

An ambitious theatre director arrives in Gyulaháza from the capital. The aim of the young Debrődy is to shake up the locals and turn the life of the town upside down.

The poem by Sándor Petőfi emerges from a beautiful 19th century volume with mirrored cover. The folk art illustrations of the poem are shaped into the figures of the cartoon with narration by Edit Domján. The creators dedicated the film to her memory as well as that of Petőfi.

The young engineer and the pretty economist of a commercial company, on assignment in the country together, after having consumed quite a few glasses of brandy, wake up in bed together. As both live a happy family life, they wish to forget their passing adventure, but gossiping starts up around them.
