Karlag, short for Karaganda Corrective Labor Camp, was one of the largest labor camps within the Soviet Gulag system. Established in 1931, it was located in the Karagandy Region of Kazakhstan. The film will explore the hardships faced by people during the 1930s-1950s and the resilience of human dignity despite the daily struggle for survival. The atmosphere of Karlag will be conveyed through costumes, props, and sets created after extensive research in archives and museums.

USSR, November, 1941. Based on the account by Vasiliy Koroteev this is the story of Panifilov's Twenty-Eight, a group of twenty-eight Red Army soldiers commanded by General Ivan Panfilov, that stopped the advance on Moscow of a column of fifty-four Nazi tanks of the 11th Panzer Division for several days. Though lightly armed they fight tirelessly and defiantly, with uncommon bravery and unwavering dedication, to protect Moscow and their Motherland.

The Nomad is a historical epic set in 18th-century Kazakhstan. The film is a fictionalised account of the youth and coming-of-age of Ablai Khan, as he grows and fights to defend the fortress at Hazrat-e Turkestan from Dzungar invaders.

Alma-Ata, 1987. The protagonist of the film is 16-year-old Arsen, who moves from the suburbs to the city center and goes to a new school. At the new school, he makes friends with classmates who are active participants in the so-called "District Movements". Along with this, Arsen faces street, teenage hierarchy and violence. And before him there is a choice, to become like everyone else or to remain true to himself.

In 1949, before the celebration of Stalin's 70th anniversary, disabled veterans of the Second World War were shot in the former USSR. The state could not even provide them with an elementary existence and simply destroyed them. Some of them were shot, some were taken to the far islands of the North and to the remote corners of Siberia. The film reproduces a possible story of such a destruction of crippled soldiers in one of Stalin's camps. Combat commander Alexei finds his old military friend, who must also be shot. A real riot begins...

The Czech-American, Milena Jelinek, adapted this moving story from the the novel The Forgotten Light, by the 1930s Czech writer/poet and Catholic priest Jakub Deml. (1934)

This unofficial Czech remake of Alexander Payne's blockbuster seriocomedy Sideways (2004) concerns Jirka and Honza, two friends who check in as complete opposites on every level; Honza is a polished urbanite, Jirka a nickel-and-dime crook with a flair for wooing women. The men's friendship is characterized by an unending series of wild schemes and escapades. When Honza learns of his grandfather's impending death, it brings him face-to-face with his own mortality and encourages him to fulfill his long-held dream, while he still has the opportunity: to embark on a dream vacation to the vineyards of Morovia, with buddy Jirka in tow.

Casual acquaintances Kema and Max in the middle of a festive feast retire to the apartment to stay in it forever. They are looking for a way out, but there is none, windows and doors lead to new labyrinths of rooms, and around - only a confined space. Kema and Max see the creepy ghosts of children, only realizing over time that these entities are the same victims of circumstances as they are. Unraveling the mysteries of the past, they try to help the captives in order to save themselves.

A story about two friends-pilots who despite of having a bit of trouble with luck don't give up on hope & optimism.

A person ends up in a maximum security isolation unit. He does not remember what happened or what actions led him to prison. In the cell, he meets a prisoner who agrees to help him restore the chain of events. One day, his cellmate disappears without a trace. The prisoner tries to establish contact with the warden and find out what happened. Will he be able to get to the truth? The search for answers is hampered by the strict regime of the isolation ward and the lack of communication with the outside world.
