Giri Haridhara (Satish Shah) and Hari Giridhara (Ravi Baswani ) are two bumbling detectives, who believe that Brigadier (Amjad Khan) is leaking defense secrets to enemy countries. Vijay (Farooque Shaikh) is in love with Brigadier’s daughter Roma. Vijay is the son of Kandha Raam (Rajendranath) who is a mortician. Vijay disguises himself as his father and goes to meet Amjad Khan to fix his alliance with Roma. Giri Haridhara and Hari Giridhara come to know of this secret and use this as a weapon to blackmail him to spy on the Brigadier. What ensues is complete hilarity.

In the year 1856, Nawab Wajid Ali Shah is the King of Awadh, one of the last independent kingdoms of India. The British intend to control this rich land and send General Outram to clear way for an annexation. Pressure is mounting amidst intrigue and political maneuvers, but the Nawab whiles away his time in pursuit of pleasure and religious practice. Ganga Singh lives near Gangotri with her brother, Karam. Months go by, but he does not return. She gives birth to a son, and as soon she is able to, she starts her journey to Alipor, Calcutta, to confront Narendra and ensure a better future for their son.

Maharaja Sharminder Bhupathi of Avanti and his wife, the Rajmata, would like to see peace in the region, and would like their daughter, Alaknanda, to marry the prince of Gandharva, Aditya Vardhan. While in Gandharva, Aditya has plans of his own, for he loves a courtesan, Jaswanti, and would not dream of marrying anyone else, much to the disapproval of his brother, Ugrarao. Not to be outdone, Alaknanda loves a young warrior by the name of Vikram Singh. Acharya Abangdev of Avanti has plans of his own, which do not include Alaknanda, as he would like to take the region over and rule over it through Ugrarao. Then the unexpected happens, Aditya is reportedly killed by bandits, and Abangdev announces that Ugrarao be the next king, but at the very moment, Aditya shows up, is crowned the king, and makes sweeping changes to Avanti for the betterment of the people.

Although he has a tragic childhood, Dharamveer grows up to become an honorable cop. Trying to perform his duties and keep society safe, he comes across a big-time thief and his loyal henchmen and focuses on successfully arresting them.

Then Vijay's girlfriend, Sapna, finds evidence that it was someone else who was responsible for these killings. Vijay agrees to represent Abbas, find the real culprit(s), and ensure that the sentence is overturned. Before that could happen, Vijay is himself arrested for killing a woman by the name of Neena, thus making Abbas' hanging a certainty.

Years after the wealthy Thakur (Kamal Kapoor) had one of his employees killed for protesting unsatisfactory working conditions, the victim's sons return with their widowed mother to seek justice. Meanwhile, Thakur's daughter Nisha refuses to marry the man her father has picked out for her and has instead fallen in love with one of the vengeful sons. Coming from a decent upper middle-class family, Vikram Saxena meets with gorgeous Seema Singh, and both fall in love. But their respective families have other plans for them. While Vikram is able to convince his advocate dad, Shyam Sunder, to change his mind, Seema is unable to do so, and her marriage is being planned with a U.S. resident. Things take a turn for the worst when the police arrest Vikram with arson, with evidence that he had burned down a property belonging to Seema's dad, Colonel Ram Mohan Singh. Due to this, Vikram's dad comes forward to defend him, and Seema will not have anything to do with him anymore. Shyam Sunder realizes that the only way he can save his son from being imprisoned is to have him certified as insane, but will have to live with the consequences for the rest of his life, as well as the the stigma this will place on his family for years to come.

Dr. Vijay is a psychiatrist and is in love with a beautiful young woman named Asha. He is stunned when another doctor refers Asha to him, as Asha has been having hallucinations and nightmares of a woman who comes to attack her and choke her to death so much so that her hostel warden has asked her to leave. Vijay hypnotizes Asha, and is successful in driving away her fears. Asha, her friend, Shobha, and Vijay travel to Asha's residence out in the countryside to celebrate her birthday, which they do with lot of pomp and merriment. Shortly thereafter, Asha sees a grotesque woman, quite different from the one she has been having nightmares about, walking in the hallway of her house, but whose motive is also the same - her death.

Indu and Raj, two lovers, are happy together and go for an outing. However, gangsters attack them and throw Indu down a cliff. Raj thinks Indu is dead and loses his mind.

Baffling the authorities, a secret organization with powerful connections is creating havoc and getting away with loads of money. But their criminal run may be drawing to an end as an astute secret agent closes in with plans to bring them down. Unfortunately, the gang of baddies is tipped off to his activities and devises a counter-attack designed to eliminate him permanently.
