The story of Operation Market Garden—a failed attempt by the allies in the latter stages of WWII to end the war quickly by securing three bridges in Holland allowing access over the Rhine into Germany. A combination of poor allied intelligence and the presence of two crack German panzer divisions meant that the final part of this operation (the bridge in Arnhem over the Rhine) was doomed to failure.

When a leak of information in the African section of British Intelligence is discovered, a security man is brought in to investigate.

Martin Christiaans asks his employer Joop Bubbelman for a pay raise as well as the hand of his daughters. Bubbelman's daughter Colette confesses she is in love and exaggerates by pretending to be pregnant. But Martin does not know the woman he loves, has lied that he is Bubbelman's daughter, and Joop does not realize that his daughter plans to marry his chauffeur Oscar, whom he has recently let go.

The film is based on the popular Dutch childrens book by Chris van Abkoude. In a Dutch port in 1921 lives a 10-year-old orphan boy known to everyone simply as Little Crumb. His poverty-stricken mother Lize van Dien filled with shame was forced to turn him over to Mrs. Koster soon after he was born. Foster mother Mrs. Koster, who has cared for him since he was a baby, is very poor too, unable to support him by herself and proves to be a cruel taskmaster who insists Crumb bring her money before shell feed him. Somehow he must earn his keep out on the streets and can only go home after he has earned enough money. Crumb becomes an urchin stealing from the streets barrows and the shops to stay alive, sleeping in churches or huddled in doorways. Sometimes he has to run off from the police and he has earned the enmity of the most grownups around him.

Omega, an ancient Time Lord made of pure anti-matter, once defeated by the Doctor, is plotting to cross over into this dimension by bonding with the Doctor. Meanwhile, the disappearance of a man in Amsterdam piques the curiosity of his cousin, Tegan, who previously left the Doctor at Heathrow Airport and now finds herself at Omega's mercy. Fearing total destruction from the collision of matter and antimatter, the Time Lords recall the Doctor to Gallifrey to undertake the only viable solution: executing him!

The film is about a successful artist Vincent, whose marriage to Linda falls apart due to his success. This is partly because Vincent starts a relationship with Evelien. Another important event is the fatal traffic accident involving his son Erik.

This legendary stone arrives in the Netherlands to be cut and polished. The mafia attempts to steal the diamond during its transport from Schiphol Airport. They ensure that all security measures are checked by the 'renowned' private detective, because they know he will have no idea what is going on. The robbery is a great success. It's a good thing Watson is there too...

For many people it is a bit of youth sentiment: the comic duo The Mounties. Piet Bambergen and René van Vooren are a concept in Dutch television. Started as a duo in the 60s, they had in the 70s and 80s, millions of people glued to the tube with their Mounties shows. Everyone can recall a hilarious scene of this memorable duo, where the Netherlands would stay at home for. The Mounties shows guaranteed a night top entertainment of the highest order, or a nice night out laughing! In their shows too many guests pass the review, e.g. Joke Bruijs, Joop Doderer and Jaap Stobbe.
