After growing up in Switzerland, 13-year-old Marta returns to a city in southern Italy with her mother and older sister. Independent and inquisitive, she joins a catechism class at a local church. However, the games and religious pop songs she encounters there do not nearly satisfy her interest in faith. Struggling to find her place, Marta pushes the boundaries of the class, the priest, and the church.

The friendship with the footballer rekindles in the boy the desire for a father figure that he has never had and in the footballer a forgotten carefree time, which has been lost above all due to his involvement in match-fixing. The coming-of-age novel of Marcello crosses the descending parable of Andrea's career, in the sign of a friendship necessary for both.

Seventies. In the unprecedented setting of an arbëresh community (the Albanians of Italy) in a small town nestled in the hills of Ionian Calabria, Marco, a thirteen-year-old boy, finds himself having to manage a complicated family situation. The Hidden Sea combines cinema, theater and documentary. Freely inspired by Saint-Exupéry’s fable, The Little Prince, this film tells the story of a young immigrant’s journey through the faces and wounds of Southern Italy. An attempt to reclaim his own history and perhaps his own future. But he is not alone on this journey. The narrator’s words are in fact confused with those of the many characters encountered and above all with the voice of the places crossed. The Hidden Sea is a reflection on the saving power of art.

Felice is a twenty-year-old boy from a working-class neighborhood. He buys a grand piano with money from a loan shark and with the help of Noemi, a young girl of the same age he met in the library, he plays in the squares of Campania for passers-by and tourists. The security guard Enzo, after an argument, destroys his piano into many pieces. Chased by loan sharks, he finds himself in the back of a church. He is given a jacket and tie and is sent to the altar in front of the dead man's relatives. He begins to make a speech in commemoration of a deceased person he doesn't even know, but the words flow spontaneously, cleanly, moving and exciting. After that speech he will become the funeral boy, the orator.
