Kinosuke Amano is the second son of the Lord of the Mikazuki clan, based in a lush green village nestled among mountains in Kyushu. He is a free-spirited youth, who slips out of the castle every night and is enchanted by looking at the stars. One summer, on the night of Tanabata (“the Evening of the Seventh”), Kinosuke encounters Sen, a girl from Hotaru Village, and Genta, her friend from childhood. Together, they assemble a turret for observing the stars. Meanwhile, the female government official - whose nickname is "Iron Lady" - keeps a watchful eye on the him in suspicion of espionage. As a result, the two get along like cats and dogs.

The setting is Europe in 1938, where signs of the outbreak of World War II begin to cast a shadow over the land. Fearing the fires of war, waves of people seek refuge from all over Europe to Paris, the only remaining city of light. But no one can guess how much longer that light will last. Ravic, a surgeon, is a refugee from Germany making a living in Paris as an unlicensed doctor. On a cold rainy night, Ravic meets a woman who is standing off in a daze, apparently about to jump off Alma Bridge into the River Seine. He rescues her just in time, and inquires about her background although he isn't very interested.

Kanade Suzaku, a student at Royal Phoenix High School, is the heir to the Suzaku Group, a corporation estimated at a worth of several trillion yen. Kanade’s late mother raised him to be intellectual and have an aristocratic nature, the perfect “prince.” Among his peers Kanade is known as the “Celebrity Prince,” adored by members of his entourage Seiichiro Kuon and Gen Kaburagi and many other students. One day, Kanade sets out to check on Kanon Naruse at the request of his father, Toshiya Suzaku, who lives in New York. Kanon is the daughter of Toshiya’s first love, left behind after the death of her mother. She has been saddled with the debts of her own father, working at part-time jobs to make a living. Bonnie & Clyde is a musical with music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black and a book by Ivan Menchell. The musical centers on Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, the ill-fated lovers and outlaws whose story has been infamous since they achieved folk hero status during the Great Depression. Wildhorn described the music as a "non-traditional score, combining rockabilly, blues and gospel music". The current Snow Troupe top combi Ayakaze Sakina and Yumeshiro Aya play the titular Bonnie & Clyde.

Here, wearing a Divan watch too extravagant for the setting, sits one man: Al Capone. As everyone knows, he’s an American gangster. In a cell arranged especially for him, he gulps down law-prohibited bourbon, next to him sits the script for a new Hollywood screenplay that is in production. The title is “Scarface.” It is plain that that word represents Al. Before the writer of this script, Al begins to tell the lesser known “truth of Al Capone.”
