Hiromi The Trio Project - Move: Live in Tokyo

High school student Dai Miyamoto has his life is turned upside down the day he discovers jazz. Picking up a saxophone and leaving his sleepy hometown for the bustling nightclubs of Tokyo, Dai will find that the life of a professional musician isn’t for the faint of heart, as he must confront what it truly means to be great.

The Concert in Central Park is a live album by Simon & Garfunkel. On September 19, 1981 the folk-rock duo reunited for a free concert on the Great Lawn of New York's Central Park attended by more than 500,000 people. They released a live album from the concert the following March (Warner Brothers LP 2BSK 3654; CD 3654). It was arranged by Paul Simon and Dave Grusin, and produced by Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Phil Ramone and Roy Halee. The concert was also shot on videotape, televised by HBO in 1982, and subsequently released on various home video formats. The VHS and DVD contain two songs that were omitted from the live album: "The Late Great Johnny Ace" and "Late in the Evening (Reprise)". "Johnny Ace" was disrupted by a fan rushing the stage who came very close to attacking Paul. This incident was both frightening and coincidental, as the song is an elegy upon the murder of John Lennon just one year earlier.

This live rendition of The Who’s full-blown rock opera about a deaf, dumb, and blind boy was performed live in 1989 at The Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, with special guests Elton John, Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Patti LaBelle, and Steve Winwood.

For the first time on film, Phil takes us on a journey through his life and career from a drumming perspective—from his early days behind the kit to his groundbreaking work with Genesis and his celebrated solo career, from his time with the jazz-fusion group Brand X to composing for Disney’s Tarzan, forming his own big band, and ultimately passing the torch to Nic during the final Genesis and Phil Collins tours. This is Phil’s story, told in his own words. This documentary offers a rare and personal glimpse into the life and legacy of a true drumming icon. Phil’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and sacrifice—a testament to the power of giving everything you have for what you love. Disc one features a live rendition of their full-blown rock opera about a deaf, dumb, and blind boy. Tommy was performed live in 1989 at The Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, with special guests Elton John, Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Patti LaBelle, and Steve Winwood. Disc two contains the band's second rock opus, this time built around the story of a young mod's struggle to come of age in the mid-60s. This live version of Quadrophenia, from the 1996/1997 U.S. Tour was the first time it was performed as Townshend and Daltrey had visualized it, with live action and featuring a then-unknown Alex Langdon in a spellbinding performance as Jimmy, the disillusioned Mod.

Filmed in High Definition in Amsterdam on Toto's 25th Anniversary Tour in 2003, this stunning concert captures the band at their very best, reunited with original vocalist Bobby Kimball. The set combines all their hits with tracks from their latest album "Through the Looking Glass" and other live favorites, performed in front of a wildly enthusastic sell-out crowd. Extras include 35 minute behind-the-scenes film following the band through various stages of their world tour including footage from Japan, Thailand, South Korea, and France. Toto celebrate their 25th anniversary with this blistering live concert, filmed in Amsterdam on February 25th, 2003. Proving they've still got exactly what it takes to move a crowd, the band perform a mixture of medley's, solo spots, and huge hits. Tracks include "Rosanna," "Africa," "Hold The Line," a cover of the Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," and many more.

This spectacular live concert sees Toto celebrating their 35th Anniversary at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland during their 2013 World Tour. The show epitomises the combination of craft, heart and drive that has been Toto s trademark throughout their career in a set packed with hits and classic album tracks. The individual band members have played on many of the best known and most successful records in history but when they come together as Toto they create music that is uniquely special. This is Toto at their very best.

Lee Ritenour is one of the world's most renowned jazz guitarists. Initially performing and recording as a sideman with the likes of The Mamas And The Papas, Tony Bennett, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd and Dizzy Gillespie, since 1976 he has been a major solo artist with over 30 albums to his credit. Overtime was filmed in high definition in Enterprise Studios, Burbank in front of a small audience and is a career retrospective of this extraordinary guitarist in which he is accompanied by some of his many collaborators down the years. The concert is split into four distinct sections. The program starts with acoustic jazz and then moves into Brazilian music, followed by Lee's early fusion music and concludes with a set of his most popular tracks from more recent albums. Interviews with the participants are interspersed between the live performances.

This show was filmed for the famous German TV series Rockpalast in MIDEM in Cannes on 29th January 1986. Pete Townshend's Deep End were touring in support of Townshend's solo concept album "White City: A Novel". Several of the musicians that appeared on the album were featured in the line-up of the Deep End including Pink Floyd's David Gilmour on lead guitar. The set list has tracks from the "White City" album, other Pete Townshend solo tracks, Who classics, David Gilmour's song "Blue Light" and a couple of surprises. Pete Townshend and the band deliver an outstanding performance that showcases him as a solo artist as distinct from his work with The Who.

Good People is a human drama set in modern Tokyo, where nationality and background intermingle in everyday life. The story follows three young adults — each overwhelmed by a sense of powerlessness — whose lives unexpectedly intersect as they search for meaning, connection, and the courage to reclaim the dreams they once abandoned. Originally screened under the title Pancakes, the film stars Jay West, Dante Carver, and Asami Imajuku, alongside strong supporting performances from Sei Ashina, Tetsuji Tamayama, Yoshinori Okada, and Yuri Nakamura.

A performance from Townshend's first North American solo tour was broadcast live from the theatre of the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York in August 1993. The concert was in three parts: an opening session of eight songs, a complete performance of Psychoderelict and an encore of a further five songs.

The four actors gathered in the studio spent three days rehearsing their 30-page script. They were told they would perform onstage on the fourth day. The cast has yet to be decided. Although they are upset about being in a closed environment with their smartphones and watches ripped away, the four devote themselves to rehearsals in order to obtain the roles they want to play. A second-rate actor, an unpopular actor, a bad actor, and an actor who can no longer find satisfaction in acting as directed. Their no-turning-back situations are gradually brought to light during rehearsals, revealing the women’s respective natures. Their performances collide as they give all they’ve got for their acting careers in this space where there are no rules nor even a director or producer. The fourth day arrives. As the masked audience watches, will they be able to show their true natures as actors and deliver a successful stage performance?

Filmed in Los Angeles in 1990, the complete Live at the Cocoanut Grove will do nothing to alter indifference from jazz purists toward fusion guitarist Lee Ritenour. But hardcore Rit fans and other viewers without a jazz-pop ax to grind will find this concert a particularly stimulating, wonderfully textured musical event built around the star and a parade of international talent.
