Desencuentro is a Mexican telenovela produced by Ernesto Alonso for Televisa and originally broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas from November 17, 1997, to April 3, 1998. It is based on the story El enemigo by Caridad Bravo Adams and Luis Moreno, with adaptation by Liliana Abud, Carmen Daniels, and Jorge Lozano Soriano. The story follows Victoria San Román, a young woman whose privileged life is shattered after the sudden death of her father leaves her family bankrupt.
