May 1945, Ljubljana. Following the end of World War II and the communist seizure of power, many opponents of communism flee Yugoslavia, retreating to Austrian Carinthia toward the British Allies. On a medical train from Ljubljana, alongside wounded members of the Home Guard, travel two physicians: Dr. Janez Janež and Dr. Valentin Meršol with his family. Their principles and consciences are put to the test as they face the brutal truth that they cannot save everyone - the survival of some will mean the death of others.

This film is a homage to the life, career and fears of Slovenian actor Peter Musevski. He was always Pero for me, not Peter.

Ivan Cankar experienced many things only after he has written about them. In the film, this link between his writing and his private life is depicted by live-action and animated scenes that draw exclusively on the writer’s works and letters to his loved ones. Although Kristijan is in a coma, Lara starts to receive video clips from his Facebook profile, showing unidentified persons watching him get beaten. She reports this to detective Borut (Jure Henigman, from A Trip and Dual), who starts an investigation. All the observers, who appear in the video clips, will become Lara’s nightmare in her real life. She soon realizes that she is also an accomplice in this horrible event.

Milan and Goran are two criminals who smuggle illegal immigrants. One night after they complete a smuggle, they discover that one of the immigrants has left a baby behind. Milan and Goran decide to sell the baby to Lubos and Eman, who are responsible for running an illegal baby adoption center. Lubos and Eman make attempts to sell the baby to Miluska and Frantisek, a barren couple.

Relations between the students and the new teacher of German are extremely tense. When one female student commits suicide, her schoolmates blame the teacher for her death. An awareness that things are not quite so black and white comes too late.
