Darman, his daughter Ida, and Slamet the servant, go into the woods to hunt. Ida was lost when Darman and Slamet are chasing a tiger. Ida ends up in Tarsan's hut. They become close though at first, Tarsan has problems speaking the Indonesian language. Then he agrees to go to the city and learn how to be an urbanite. It is not easy as he is even harassed by Ida’s friends who do not like him.

Benny is a college student who studies farming. He gets an assignment to go to a village while he works on his thesis. On his way there, he meets Erni, a high school friend who is also heading to the same village. In the village, he stays in the house of the village chief and his daughter, Euis, is a beautiful young woman. During his work, the locals often distract Benny, since they want Euis’ attention. The relationship between Euis and Benny deteriorates further when Erni comes with her group. The misunderstanding is overcome when she realises that Erni comes to join the harvesting party in the village and to entertain them with her singing.

The jokes from Benjamin S and Nawi Ismail parodies Jango, a “spaghetti” cowboy movie character who was quite popular in Indonesia. Three cowboys, Benny, Man, and Gommy arrive in Bero City that needs a new sheriff. They are expected to arrest the gang of Don Lego. But even after Don Lego is defeated, not even one cowboy is willing to be a sheriff. They all have different silly excuses such as “being asked to go home to his wife”. Meanwhile, Benny, also refuses the offer. The reason is that he is going to make his haj.

Jaim (Benyamin S) and Rais (Mansjur Sjah) were neighbors and worked in a sawmill. However, these two men always quarreled and fought. His son and wife also joined in. Because of their quarrels, Jaim and Rais were expelled from their jobs. Jaim became a duck salad vendor, while Rais' wife became a herbalist. The constant bickering of these two poor families (the role of the creditors in Jaim's family life is also depicted) culminates in their house catching fire. And Mr. RT (A. Hamid Arief), who happens to be the committee for the departure of transmigrants to Lampung, sends them to the transmigration area.

Rano (Rano Karno) was separated and lost his father at Jatinegara Station in Jakarta when he got off the train. Luckily, he met a kind-hearted fryer. Amin (Benyamin S), who then took him home.

An eccentric girl named Euis is betrothed by her parents to a young man who is the son of a landowner. Things turn out differently, as Euis is more interested in an equally eccentric motorcycle taxi driver named Beno. The failure of the landlord's son's love resulted in Euis and Beno having to pay losses and pay their debts. Of course, this makes it difficult for them. Fortunately, Grandpa Lihun, Euis's grandfather, appears, whom she hasn't seen in a dozen years. Grandpa Lihun was the one who paid all the losses and debts of Euis' family. The regulars are Ngawang, a small time thief who fails to make his wife happy; Kenanga, who becomes a prostitute to spite her husband; Siswanto, a student who does not have the courage to confess his love to Sudiasih; Pungguk the painter; a civil servant, and a postman. The love stories between Siswanto and Sudiasih; and Ngawang and Kenang are the central plots. Seeing Siswanto and Sudiasih’s love, Ngawang and Kenanga also find each other. Meanwhile, Mbok Puspo is in a dilemma when she receives a letter from her child, Sri Bidari, who was adopted by a rich family.

In the past. There was a Palmerah hero named Rombeng (Sukarno M. Noor) who was cruel and ruthless. The victims were the common people and beautiful girls. There was also a story about a young man with long hair, so his name was only known as Si Gondrong (Farouk Afero), who was also good at martial arts. He was a Kwitang hero. His acquaintance with Patmah (Mila Karmila), a sweet girl who was good at reciting the Koran, made him easily attracted, especially since he had just been betrayed by his girlfriend Mimin (Rahayu Effendi), a naughty woman. The film is a "reconstruction" of the real event of Sum Kuning’s rape that happened 10 years before, and sums up the lack of justice in the Indonesian courts. Sumirah, is raped by four vandals but during the investigation, the event is given a ridiculous interpretation when Sum is forced to confess that she was trying to gain popularity for herself. During the trial, the true facts are revealed gradually and this ranks as one of the best courtroom films ever made complete with spirited and lively dialogue.

Unlike in traditional *lenong* tales, Si Pitung does not die; he is like a cowboy who resolves a problem and then moves on. Si Pitung (Dicky Zulkarnaen), a student of H. Naipin (M. Panji Anom), gains the strength to fight against the oppression inflicted upon the common people by landlords. With the help of his friend Djiih (Sandy Suwardy), he thrashes the landlords' hired thugs as well as the colonial police officers. Meanwhile, the colonial police commander (A. Hamid Arief) devises a plan to thwart Pitung. Pitung’s girlfriend, Aisyah (Paula Rumokoy), is taken to become the third wife of Demang Meester (H. Mansjur Sjah). Just as the wedding celebration is about to take place, Pitung succeeds in rescuing his beloved, declaring that he will go to wherever people are in need.

Jarir, an old teacher and also principal of a school in a small town, is a conservative educator. He is contrasted with Irfan, who is full of passion and follows a modern education approach. Their different approaches are tested on a group of delinquents. This film for children tries to show how a child’s “naughty” behaviour is a form of creativity.
