Prolific jazz guitarist Metheny and his group launch a tight, intense, uplifting and musically complex assortment of sounds in this fine concert performance. The band features Metheny, Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby, Richard Bona, Cuong Vu, Antonio Sanchez. One of the most acclaimed jazz guitarists of his generation, Pat Metheny is captured here live in concert. Always pushing himself to the very boundaries of musical invention, Metheny and his band pull together a taut, intense set of songs that are both complex and highly enjoyable. Tracks include "Go Get It," "The Gathering Sky," "Scrap Metal," "Are You Going With Me?" and many more.

Max is a battle-weary veteran of the wedding-planning racket. His latest — and last — gig is a hell of a fête, involving stuffy period costumes for the caterers, a vain, hyper- sensitive singer who thinks he's a Gallic James Brown, and a morose, micromanaging groom determined to make Max's night as miserable as possible. But what makes the affair too bitter to endure is that Max's colleague and ostensible girlfriend, Joisette, seems to have written him off, coolly going about her professional duties while openly flirting with a much younger server. It's going to be a very long night… especially once the groom's aerial serenade gets underway.

In 2000, as the Hezbollah organization takes over Lebanon, Yossi, a Lebanese soldier, helps his friend Fouad to flee the country in order to avoid punishment, as he’s been working against them for 16 years. Fouad takes refuge in Israel with his daughter, Tanya. A few years later, a new war breaks out in Lebanon, causing tensions at the Israeli border. Yossi’s wife, Myriam, decides to go there and asks for Tanya’s help to look for their soldier son, who hasn’t given sign of life since then. This journey will allow the two women to share their sorrows and heal together.

Recorded at Auditório Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo , on 24 and 25 June 2006 , the album features the biggest hits singer-songwriter Lenine's career such as "Paciência" (Patience), "Jack Soul Brasileiro" (Since I am Brazilian), "Na Pressão" (On The Pressure), "A Rede" (The Net), "Hoje Eu Quero Sair Só" (I Want Go Out Alone, Today) and "A Medida da Paixão" (The Measure of Passion), plus new songs like "Tudo Por Acaso" (All By Chance). The album features special participations from musicians such as the Chilean Victor Astorga (the first English horn soloist with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra), Cameroonian bassist and singer Richard Bona, Mexican singer Julieta Venegas, harpist Cristina Braga, the rapper Gog, and drummer Iggor Cavalera (ex-member of Sepultura). The DVD includes bonus material, plus making-of scenes, reviews, testimonials about the project, the guests and also footage of the 2006 World Cup, since the performance was recorded concurrently with it.

Richard Bona was born in Cameroon. He was 10 years old when he built his first bass guitar out of a cardboard box and bicycle brake cables. Now based in New York, this collaborator of Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Sting has won over audiences with his Afro-influenced music and his multilingual vocals. The Frankfurt Radio Big Band is conducted by Michael Philip Mossman.
