It’s 1974 and Sam Bicke has lost everything. His wife leaves him with his three kids, his boss fires him, his brother turns away from him, and the bank won’t give him any money to start anew. He tries to find someone to blame for his misfortunes and comes up with the President of the United States who he plans to murder.

Ali Abd-El-Zaher is a member of an Islamic radical group which has been launching attacks against the government and the society under the orders of the spiritual leader Brother Saif. Ali manages to assasinate an officer, but as he escapes from the authorities he gets hit by a car driven by Sewsan, the daughter of a respected Muslim family living in the Maadi district. Sewsan's father who is a surgeon and his family take care of the injured terrorist who then tries to conceal the truth about his personality, such as his dislike of music, unveiled women and Western life styles.

The film revolves around Saeed AL-Masri (Adel Imam), one of the pilots of the October War who lost his eye-sight after his plane crashed during the war. Saeed AL-Masri is forced to live in a home for disabled people that is managed by a very bureaucratic managers which they turn it into a prison.

Issam gets injured in a car accident. He travels with his mother after his recovery to perform Hajj. The officer, who gave the name of praise to his boss before he was unjustly arrested and abandoned Issam after his return. Her relatives and the people of the neighborhood deny her and hold her sincere and stand next to her. Roushdi, who confesses innocence and praises Ola, is arrested and leads to the arrest of Ola and her family and releases praise. Issam asks her hand to reject him in order to abandon her in her ordeal.
