"The Helene Fischer Show" on Christmas Day with Germany's most popular entertainer and a varied program. Helene Fischer has put together a mixture of lots of music, spectacular artistry, surprising duets and great musical productions for her audience. For the first time, the show will be broadcast from the exhibition hall in Düsseldorf. The popular entertainer has invited a whole host of national and international musical guests to perform unprecedented duets with her and provide plenty of emotion and goosebump moments.

The East Frisian has been on stage for an incredible 50 years, delighting audiences with his anarchic, silly humor. Many Otto sketches, songs, rhymes and sounds have long been part of the collective memory, have become cultural assets and are quoted by heart by adults and children alike. At this big comedy get-together, the stars of the scene pay tribute to Otto and his timeless classics. The comedy party pulls out all the stops: the most popular sketches are reinterpreted on stage, films show the highlights from 50 years, and of course there is also lots of music. Bully Herbig, Bülent Ceylan, Jürgen von der Lippe, Ralf Schmitz, Sascha Grammel, Max Giermann and Cosma Shiva Hagen are among those taking part. The Friesenjungs, the Spider Murphy Gang, Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung, Wolfgang Ambros and Ingrid Thurnher will provide plenty of music.

The wedding of investment advisor Christian Zeiler to Katharina Buchheim, the daughter of a wealthy family, is just around the corner. On the eve of his wedding, his friends Victor and Paul treat him to a huge cake to say goodbye to his bachelorhood. When the enchanting Miriam jumps out of it, Christian is so impressed that the upcoming wedding is almost forgotten. But there is a good reason for his marriage to Katharina: Christian is heavily in debt and is constantly on the run from angry creditors to whom he has sold unsuccessful investments.

Viennese vegetable merchant Karl Kassbach becomes a member of a right-wing extremist organization, which plans numerous attacks on democratic institutions and journalists. The film attempts to portray a realistic and detail-oriented study of the mind of the "Kleinbürger", trapped between the fringes of the lower and middle-classes.

Necessity is the mother of invention. After their stock portfolios slide into the cellar, the two friends Roderik and Fabian have set up another profitable business: the "Marriage Swindler Company". Roderik is the brilliant strategist who directs the amorous scams with a great deal of foresight. Fabian is the front man whose charm melts the hearts of the proudest women like butter in the Koh Samui sun. Fabian also tries to win the heart of Miriam Berger, the rich heiress of the famous "Siam Residence" resort, with his well-rehearsed charm charades. But then Roderik's ingenious strategy gets out of hand: Fabian actually falls in love with Miriam and stops thinking about business...

Klaus is one of the numerous drug addicts in Austria. His story (parents are separated and he is isolated) is made more realistic with interviews. Not only do the therapists of the drug units at Mödling and Enns, the physicians and politicians who are confronted with these social problems have their say, but also the man on the street who expresses the "voice of the people" - and many other drug addicts.

Lawyer Fröhlich has specialized in divorce cases and has become a star in this field. Along the way, he also divorced his own marriage. But his daughter and former wife are an integral part of his life, as is his marriage-mad father.
